Competence. Connection. Creativity
My Personal Brand
On this page I discuss the details of my personal brand, from logo choice, to values, and color schemes.

Why Competence?
Competence is the first of the three values I believe in embodying. Competence comes first because within the workplace and many times in life, competence is the reason people notice you. Without competence there can be no connection or creativity. I work hard every day to improve the skills I have and to learn new ones. I want competence to be something people know they will get from me.

Why Connection?
Connection is what moves people forward. Connection has allowed me to meet amazing individuals both professionally and in life. Connection allows us to not walk alone. But connection takes effort, it is a journey. It requires intentionality and vulnerability. I understand connection is not always easy but it is a value I am committed to wholeheartedly pursuing.

Why Creativity?
You may notice creativity is the only word without a period after it. This is intentional. It symbolizes that creativity cannot be limited, it is not stunted or stopped. It is continuous, and full of opportunity and potential. It is something that has endless possibilities. I value creativity because it means I have the ability to express myself, to use my voice in countless ways and help others to express their own voice.
Shades of Earth
The color of earth, wood, sand and stone. Brown is a symbol of reliability, stability and dependability. I want my personal brand to reflect a space that is reliable and dependable, someone people can count on. Earth tones exhibit friendliness, approachability, connection and warmth. All of these are attributes I seek to reflect in my interactions people and as a result I hope are clearly seen within my brand. I want people to feel like my brand is approachable, whether they are a small business, start-up, established brand or well-known organization, an individual or group. Browns are also symbolic of honesty a quality I want my personal brand to be known for. Honesty and integrity are values that I place a high importance on and seek to give to people who interact with me whether on a personal or professional level. Brown also represents an element of elegance, and with elegance I believe comes professionality. I want my brand to reflect both beauty and professionalism. I love interacting within the professional environment and yet within professionalism I believe their can be elegance in what we create and how we interact with people.

Why a Phoenix?
For me the Phoenix is this perfect blend of beauty and fire. I believe within creativity lies great beauty, something I desire to reflect in some way in everything I create. Fire is passion and I want people who interact with me and my brand to see the passion I have to help them and the passion I have for branding, marketing and social media. I chose the Phoenix because I felt it embodied each of these things and symbolizes what I want to reflect in my brand: a passion for creating beauty.
