Project Shield

Project Shield is a fictional organization I developed as part of an ongoing project in my Writing for Communications class. I was asked to write a press release, a blog post, and a news article about the organization I created. The project also included developing a mission statement, a brief social media style guide, and a logo. The purpose of the project was to develop my writing skills for a variety of forms of writing used within the communications industry. I created an organization about counterterrorism, because it is a topic I am interested in learning about and an area I am beginning to develop a passion for. I loved researching for this project and seeing how communications is applicable to the counterterrorism field.
